My Passions
I am deeply passionate about understanding the world through the lens of history, diplomacy, and human connection. My lifelong interest in international politics—especially the evolving relationship between Iran and the United States—is rooted in a desire for justice, dialogue, and peace. Alongside my political reflections, I find solace and meaning in poetry, particularly the timeless wisdom of Rumi, whose verses remind me that beauty and truth often speak in silence. As a grandfather, I also cherish family, storytelling, and the quiet strength of intergenerational bonds.
Art and Culture
- I admire the intricate beauty of Persian carpets, seeing each one as a woven story of heritage, patience, and creativity.
- I’m deeply moved by classical Persian poetry, especially Rumi and Hafez, whose verses echo universal truths across time.
- I take pride in Persian calligraphy, architecture, and storytelling traditions that reflect a civilization rooted in elegance and depth.

Poetry
- Inspired by the wisdom of Rumi and Hafez
- Drawn to poetry’s spiritual depth and beauty
- I often reflect through verse, both old and new
“I am not this hair
I am not this skin
I am the soul that lives within”

Rumi
